Is your body, you know, actualized? No one is quite certain what really goes on at the Body Actualized “Center” or why it exists, but what The Burning Bush can confirm is that it’s entirely possible that the yoga outpost/”DIY musician community” is very likely a secret underground hub for communist meetings. Because it’s Bushwick, it is not the traditional form of commerce-related communism, but rather, the kind that’s centered around all “artists” being equal.
In the center’s underhanded attempts to promote artistic egalitarianism, there’s been a noticeable shittiness to the quality of local creative expression. Just look at some of the graffiti, for instance. It’s positively uninspired. And it’s all due in part to Body Actualized’s hushed gatherings and subliminal influence during these highly questionable yoga meetings.
The sense of community promoted by Body Actualized is all just a ploy to detract artists from what they should really be focusing on: Their art. And, contrary to what the center tries to make their acolytes adhere to, not all artists are created equal.
