As we already know, the European infiltration in Bushwick is rather staggering. Their vast wealth and innate ability to do nothing save for enjoy themselves has been turning the neighborhood upside down for quite some time now. From places like Hell Phone to your very own apartment, Bushwick is catering to what they want.
The latest example is a bougified subway entrance at the Bogart Street side of Morgan Avenue. Its brick facade and clear marking–“SUBWAY”–is tailor-made for the European set. Even the head of the Committee to Bougify Bushwick, Andrew Pander, admitted, “We couldn’t help but design it with an affluent French or English person in mind.”
And even though most rich Europeans don’t even ride the subway, many of them have still been reacting favorably. “I theenk it looks very cute,” confirmed Laurent LaRoche, a 21-year-old from Monte Carlo. So there you have it: the bougification of Bushwick is feeding off of itself quite nicely.
