There’s been no end to wacky Bushwickian fashion trends, especially in the past few months, but the latest to take center stage is wearing designer clothes inside out to show off the label. This may come as something of an astonishment to those who feel Bushwickians are more interested in a carefully cultivated hobo chic look, however, Beacon’s Closet is the primary supplier of luxe, high-end couture that make blaspheming against designer fashion so easy for locals.

One pioneer of the trend, Realta Fassionsens, a 25-year-old from the south of France, bragged to The Burning Bush, “No one can troll the Beacon’s Closet scene for clothes with labels like I can. I’ve picked out ten outfits in the time it takes some simp to find one Betsey Johnson top. (pausing to scoff). Betsey Johnson.” Many other Bushwickians have picked up on Fassionsens’ style, some even going as far as the Hoyt-Schermerhorn stop to peruse the Goodwill for couture. So hurry up, there’s still time to snap something up so you don’t like a tasteless swine at various Bushwick Christmas parties. At the bare minimum, you should be sporting a Louis label.
