Even though Forrest Point was the first neighborhood joint to bring in the era of “forest” in Bushwick, it’s so-called naming originality is not without its foibles. The manager and owner of the restaurant/bar (a decidedly Californian phenomenon), Ricky Twoworlds, who has been greatly missing Williamsburg of late, has admitted to the folly of the name.

“I don’t really know why we felt the need to call it that. I mean, yeah, it’s located on Forrest Triangle, but we’re really just on Flushing Avenue. I’m starting to have major regrets about naming the restaurant something so pretentious. It’s retarded. And there’s a chance for a re-branding in the near future.”

Of course, it would seem the only person really bothered by the name is Twoworlds, while regular patrons like Selena Scenester only care about being seen in the front yard area drinking an expensive looking beverage. “I wasn’t even totally sure what this place was called,” she admitted. In any case, Twoworlds has been toying with the notion of renaming Forrest Point to The Dark Enchantress, which sounds a lot like The Dark Forest. Stay tuned for further updates.
