In order to compete with La Bouche, Bushwick’s boutique hotel inside a boutique hotel, BWCK HOUSE, a Castle Braid-esque structure being erected off the Flushing M stop right near Woodhull, will offer the very pinnacle in what they’re branding as “Bushwick luxury.” This includes a rotating roster of offensively bad art, artisanal pop tarts and croissants as part of the continental breakfast and in-person wake up calls from local bands bursting through your door to sing you a song.
The idea for the “failed artist’s paradise” came from Giulia Bombastico, a 29-year-old entrepreneur allegedly related to Donatella Versace. Bombastico told The Burning Bush, “I thought to myself, ‘There are so many rich people who get off on being around artists because they themselves can’t be, and by providing them with an artist-like atmosphere, they, too, can feel special.”
Other amenities at the hotel will include one free ambulance ride to Woodhull, a gift certificate to nearby Rainbow, a hand selected candle bouquet by local candlemaker Psy Ko and a complimentary Sriracha bottle soap dispenser. The average cost per night for a standard room starts at $300. But one can’t put a price on “the Bushwick experience.”
