Because weed-smoking continues to become as publicly acceptable as vaping (though, unfortunately, somehow less so than the latter), it’s only natural that a hookah-inspired bar allowing for the free and easy inhalation of every California transplant’s favorite drug should make its way to the Bushwick vicinity.
Planned for a July 1 opening on Menahan Street near the Myrtle-Wyckoff stop in a former hookah bar, Emma Stoned seeks to offer a haven for those weed smokers who have often felt lonely whilst sitting in their apartments in the middle of the day watching shitty talk shows common to the afternoon hours schedule of TV.
The owner of the bar, Mickey Pipehole, a 32-year-old from Emma Stone’s hometown of Scottsdale, AZ, commented to The Burning Bush, “I just want to make stoners feel a little bit better about themselves. Have the self-confidence to socialize with other like-minded individuals who have equally as absurd things to say–or sometimes nothing to say at all. Together, we can stare in silence and randomly laugh at Emma Stone movies.” Because yes, he does plan to have a projector only playing those films from the actress’ somewhat limited canon.
