Just as Artichoke was finally getting settled in, establishing itself as a force to be reckoned with against the only other late-night pizza spot, roof-of-mouth burning Archie’s, another competitor of a fairly legit caliber, Fazio’s Sicilian Pizzeria and Rosticceria decides to go and open.
The co-owners of the establishment, Marco De Marco (not to be confused with Dom DeMarco of Di Fara) and Paolo di Paolo, have insisted that they have no involvement with the recent controversy surrounding Roberta’s Pizzagate, though others are skeptical.
“There’s gotta be something more to it. I mean, why another pizza place? It just doesn’t make any sense. I know it’s a front,” insisted local conspiracy theorist Jon Machismo, a 45-year-old currently working on a book of Bushwick conspiracy theories, which will of course feature a lengthy section on Maria Hernandez. Regardless of whatever lurking motive might be behind the opening of Fazio’s, it’s yet further proof that the Bushwickian diet plan most assuredly leaves something to be desired.
