If you were living in Bushwick about three years ago and you were a Pine Box regular, you never in a million light years would have guessed that it was going to transform into a bro bar. But that, dear Burning Bush readers (should we call you BBs?), is exactly what has happened.
It started slowly, like all demises, with minimal infiltrations here and there–like when the bar decided to start showing sports on their TVs. One bro, Clint McClintock, told The Burning Bush, “I had never heard of Pine Box until someone told me to meet them there to watch the football league championship.”
Soon, other bros started telling other bros about this great place to watch sports and enjoy expensively priced beer. Although most bros aren’t even entirely sure what a pine box is supposed to reference (no bro experiences mortality, after all), they seem largely undeterred by the giant coffin on the exterior of the bar. Maybe it makes them think they’re going to finally fuck a goth chick if they go inside.
As the ever rising bro epidemic increases in Bushwick, will there be any room left for the original hipster scum?
