Like actresses in L.A., the plastic bag density in Brooklyn is extremely high. So what makes an ordinary black bodega one from Bushwick so special? Well, it managed to hit an incredible 900 foot high mark, as tracked by a recreational hang glider named Ansgar Handsfri, a 39-year-old from Copenhagen.
Handsfri expressed, “When I saw it up there, floating like that…it was just the most beautiful sight I had ever witnessed. So peaceful, so graceful.” Hank Lifemissin, the drama teacher responsible for curating a show of dancing plastic bags in August of last year, managed to capture the momentous occasion on film and is currently charging $30 a pop to view the spectacle in the comfort of his apartment on Wilson Avenue.
“As usual, Lifemissin has found a way to taint the beauty of the plastic bag,” stated Gerald Daedreama a plastic bag enthusiast who came to blows with Lifemissin after “the dance” last year. In the meantime, representatives from the Guinness Book of World Records have come to Bushwick to watch the video and confirm whether or not the bag deserves a place in history.
