For those who avoided the Full Moon Festival on Saturday, perhaps the evasion was all for the best as many who attended had to be escorted off of the Brooklyn Mirage premises in “East Williamsburg” a.k.a. the Jefferson stop. The revelers’ refusal to acknowledge that the festival was over and that there was no music playing anymore to dance to prompted the organizers of the event to get police involved.

Malana Eccstassy and Mickey Nero, the foreign, dance-loving coordinators of the beloved spectacle expressed extreme irritation (and not just the sexual kind) over having to involve the authorities. “These people should have the EDM etiquette required to attend our festival. This isn’t for college kids trying to recreate the foam party in Ibiza. It’s for elegant dancers who know how act right on molly,” commented Eccstassy.

Among the crowd was–surprisingly and not surprisingly–local scene queen and Dear Bushwick hostess Basique Beech, who has tried her best to rival Moonchild Von Rogg in terms of public appearances. “I guess I popped one too many ‘tablets’ if you know what I mean. But it really helped me get in touch with my inner artist. I’m going to rethink entirely how I greet people at Dear Bushwick. I may need to start, like, singing and dancing every time someone new walks in the door.” Beech and others are still being detained at the 83rd precinct until bail fees are paid by their parents.
