Because everyone knows that Pinterest is only used by women about to get married or bored at work (and, in many cases, by basiques), it’s no wonder that one local Bushwick web designer has touched on the bright idea of generating a male-only version of the social media platform, called Sinterest.
“Sinterest seeks to fill the void Pinterest has left where male interests are concerned. We don’t want to see boards filled up with wedding dresses or shoes. We want naked women, carb-related food and maybe a few action movie posters,” explained Mark Masculin, the 32-year-old creator of this million dollar idea.
Developed largely in his basement apartment off the Halsey stop, Masculin’s final product has got all the men of Bushwick and beyond talking (though what no one will talk about is that no amount of branding can masuclinize this product). “I find myself ‘sinning’ all day now,” said Sinterest addict Delano Diquelass, whose board consists primarily of Magic Mike XXL stills and images of Roberta’s pizza. With the number of users totaling almost 100,000 in its first week, it seems like Bushwick is giving Silicon Valley a run for its money.
