As The Burning Bush previously reported on earlier this year, a surge in the number of tiki bars in this neighborhood has resulted in a lot of decade confusion ’round these parts, forcing the Committee for Dealing With Bushwick-Related Alcohol Problems to step in on many an occasion.
The addition of a new tiki bar to Bushwick, The Dromedary, has only served to further compound matters. Located on Irving Avenue, Bushwickians have been flocking in droves to the alluring colors of the tiki-themed drinks that have lately been giving Commordore II a run for its money.
“I can’t stay away. I don’t even like, you know, like, cocktail-y drinks, but there’s something about the pull of the tiki I can’t resist,” stated Renata Passata, a 29-year-old from Savannah, Georgia. An intervention on the part of the Committee for Dealing With Bushwick-Related Alcohol Problems is steadily coming to fruition in a vague way that can’t be described. “We are actively seeking ways to put a stop to any further implementation of tiki bars in this vicinity. The insanity has got to stop,” asserted Ron Saver, the head of the committee. But, when it comes to Bushwickians, few things can hinder them from getting what they want…
