After Zosia Mamet pawned off her hovel on Flushing Avenue, claiming it “didn’t have enough amenities,” Pan Am star Christina Ricci has been ousted out of the running for purchasing it at its new $6 million price point. Instead, Ricci was relegated to Fort Greene, where she was forced to buy a $2 million home near the bustling Brooklyn-Queens Expressway.

Verklempt, yet somewhat relieved at not being allowed admission into Bushwick, Ricci told The Burning Bush, “It’s probably for the best, you know? Like, do I really want people coming up to me when I’m trying to eat at Dear Bushwick to ask for my autograph? And do I really want some tween of a hipster girl coming up to me at Beacon’s Closet asking for fashion advice and saying shit like, ‘I loved you when you were in Sleepy Hollow way back when.’ No, I don’t. So, to me, Fort Greene is a blessing in disguise.”

Incidentally, it was Ricci’s Sleepy Hollow co-star, Johnny Depp, who was able to afford Zosia Mamet’s former home. Unlike Mamet, however, he will not be throwing a massive housewarming party to announce his presence to the Bushwick world. Rather, he will be building a ten-foot wall to encase himself completely inside. Trespass at your own risk.
