Bushwick’s quick transformation into a juggernaut of commerce leaving behind its pitiful days as an industrial-promoting enterprise has been further accelerated by the upcoming addition of a WeWork office located off the Dekalb stop.
“Obviously everyone would have assumed we would put the space off the Jefferson stop, but that’s just a little too predictable at this point in time, what with Bat Haus and Brooklyn Desks already being there as our marginal competition,” noted the CEO of the co-working operation, Marvin Weerdoa, a 43-year-old who spends most of his time in Soho.
Interested businesses have already leased out most of the building, including Cunt Face, Sinterest and Lifebooker. With the advent of office life infiltrating the area at full speed, it’s likely that Hale and Hearty and Pret A Manger locations will be cropping up in no time.
